Interracial Relationships

Undoubtedly our society is indeed still very much close-minded as we treat interracial relationships with disdain and disgust. Personally I think that no one should decide on people's happiness and that couples in interracial relationships should try to pay less attention to the finger pointing whisperers. I have told that although this sounds easy, it really is not so.

Despite how many years pass, there are still so many ongoing controversies in the world. Sometimes I actually wonder why God didn't just create a race of identical people. Perhaps, it's probably more entertaining to watch us deal with our differences. Since there will always be various religions, races, political stands and opinions, our species will always debate and fight about what's best.

This is plain and simply the way we humans do things. It's inevitable. Now, one of the major issues that hardly seem to die out is interracial relationship. What is your thought on this concept? Do you support interracial relationships or do you oppose them for personal reasons? Opinions will certainly vary.

Today, you can actually log onto the Internet and take advantage of dating websites that encourage and support interracial relationships. I don't think this is a bad thing by any means. To each his own is what I live by.

As long as no one is getting hurt, I can hardly see the problem with it. It basically comes down to a choice. You have to choose a partner in life that's right for you. It's truly difficult to say what race he/she will be. When it comes down to it, we're still all made up of the same parts. It's kind of funny; I've always noticed that individuals of every race have some difficulty on some level with interracial relationships.

For some reason it bothers them to see someone of their race dating someone from another race. Personally I just don't care what races are involved; it's all the same. Why do you suppose human beings are like this? Personally I feel that it doesn't concern me. Who am I to say whom someone else can date or marry?

An interesting topic was discussed regarding interracial relationships in a past psychology class of mine. A Caucasian girl was asked by the professor if she would be willing to date outside of her race. It was just an experiment we were conducting in the class session. She promptly replied with "I'm not sure. I don't think we would have much in common."

I think this was an excellent point made by the girl. Perhaps racial barriers do concern interests on a greater level than many of us may perceive. Either way, when it comes to interracial relationships, it will always come down to the personal choices of the two parties involved.

If you're a finger pointing, hard glancing whisperer, I truly think that you need to re-think your actions. Why should you be so overly concerned with interracial relationships? Think back to a time when someone tried to dictate your happiness, remember how upsetting that was...well my dear you're doing the same. Let people make their own decisions on happiness!
